A futuristic facility's security has gone haywire, and it is up to the elite cyborg, designation: L3X-0, to make it to the control room alive!
Dodge and weave through increasingly dangerous robots to win!

Controls:

Move: [WASD Keys] or [Arrow Keys]
Dodge: Hold and release [Enter] or [X] while inputting a direction.
Shoot: Hold or spam [Space] or [Z].
Focus: Hold [Left Shift] to decrease your speed and crawl through tight bullet clusters
Try Again:
Press [Enter] to select "Try Again" after a game over.

Special Moves:

Spam: Bullets can be fired by holding down [Space] or [Z], but if pressed repeatedly, bullets will have an increased fire rate.

Don't Forget!

DamageL3X-0 will take damage after hitting an enemy laser or running into an enemy robot, and, after a short period, his self-repair will kick in and heal him. Pay attention to L3X-0's health percent at the bottom-left corner of the screen.
Temporary Invincibility:

Upon taking damage, L3X-0 will blink and become invincible for a short while.
Cool-Down: Dodging overheats L3X-0's systems, so he must wait to cool down and dodge again. However, cool down is reached immediately after a successful clone!
Losing Power: If L3X-0 has an enemy bullet pattern, it will be lost upon taking damage.
Slowing Down: While holding a Dodge, L3X-0 will move more slowly. Use this prepare the direction you want to release into!

About

Hello! My name is Ezra Kiteck and this is one of my class projects during my time studying at Murray State University. I was -- and still am -- very proud of how it turned out, so I decided to share it here. Every sprite, sound effect, animation, etc. you see is my own as I think downloading pre-made assets takes the fun out of it. Although, I did use royalty free music since I am not a musician!
I really enjoyed making this, but I had many more levels, characters, boss fights, and other features planned out. I would like to revisit this project someday and fully make it into the experience that I envisioned, but that will have to wait until I have more time on my hands. For now, I am considering this a demo and uploading it so that I can move on without guilt to tinkering with smaller ideas I want to explore.
Thanks for playing, and I hope you enjoy!
